    Abstract

    This study (2017) tries to identify to what extentemotional intelligence give the most impact toward performance with organizational cultural as intervening variable of staff Education Department East Kutai Regency. This research excepted to benefit to all side, especially for institution head to dig elements that increasing performance of staff Education Department East Kutai Regency. Analysis model used to prove hypothesis is model analysis multiple linier regression that be analysed with using statistic computer program package, that is SPSS v.20,0 for Windows. Responden that becoming objective this research are counted 57 of staff. There are two analysis model in this study. Result of statisticinthefirst model has R2 = 0,700 or 70 %. Thatís meanemotional intelligence can describe organizational cultural that is 70 % . The second model has R2 = 0,875 or 87,5 %. Thatís mean emotional intelligence and organizational cultural describe performance that is 87,5 % Result of the first hypothesis hasβ = 0,724 means there is influence emotional intelligence to organizational cultural that is 0,724. Result of the second hypothesis has β = 0,415 means there is influence emotional intelligence to performance that is 0,415. Result of the third hypothesis has β = 0,497 means there is influence organizational cultural to performance that is 0,497. Indirect influence coeficient that is 0,360 means the influence of mediation is significant. Thus the model hypothesis of indirect influence of the emotional intelligence variable on employee performance through organizational cultural is acceptable.
